Art has always been a part of Shelley Joy’s life, and for the past 26 years, she has been creating and selling paintings for buyers and exhibiting her paintings in galleries. Her artistry is not just limited to visual arts, but extends to poetry, theatrical arts and songs. Ms. Joy considers it a highlight of her career each time a painting is enjoyed.
While her paintings have been shown all over the world, many of them have been displayed in New York City. Her paintings are created mostly with oils. She frequently collaborates with other artists, musicians, singers and actors to host events where people can come and learn about the art and music world. Ms. Joy specializes in creating opportunities and engineering new ways where her art can be consumed and enjoyed. She excels at raising excitement about new art. She maintains affiliation with SAG-AFTRA, the Actors’ Equity Association, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Arts Students League and Broadcast Music, Inc.
For more than 26 years, Ms. Joy has added so much color, poetry and theatrics to the world. With her written songs and exhibition art, she has expressed herself as an artist and connected with so many different people. She attended programs at the American Sign Language and English Secondary School in New York, and continued with coursework at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. In addition, she has taken coursework at the New England School of Photography and the Aegina Arts Center in Greece.
Philanthropically, she supports Doctors Without Borders, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity and CARE.
